Leads For Trades review, Alex Jenkins lead generation agency compared with Growth Bull, Growth Bull blog

Leads For Trades is Alex Jenkins's UK lead generation agency for trade and home improvement companies. It runs Facebook, Instagram and Google Ads campaigns on your behalf, with starting ad budgets that its site says are typically £800 to £1,500 a month, and a management fee quoted on a call. The site claims more than £100 million of leads generated for clients. We could not find a Trustpilot page for it.

Growth Bull is a different approach: £69 a month of software that gets Google reviews from every paid invoice and tracks your rankings, so the enquiries that come free from Google grow instead of the ones you pay for. This review is for the loft, window or driveway firm weighing paid leads against organic growth.

Who are Leads For Trades and what do they sell?

Leads For Trades is the trading name of Alexander James Enterprises Ltd (company number 12816891), incorporated on 17 August 2020, registered at 27 Old Gloucester Street in London and active, with SIC codes for management consultancy and advertising agencies. A separately registered Leads For Trades Ltd, incorporated in 2022, was dissolved in March 2026; the trading company is the 2020 one.

The founder, Alex Jenkins, is described on the site as a Facebook Marketing Partner and paid advertising specialist who ran a tiling business before moving into marketing, and the agency was set up to work with trade and home improvement companies that want to grow to six and seven figures.

What you get is managed advertising:

  • Campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, and Google Ads, built around your own pages so the leads are exclusive rather than shared with other firms.
  • A CRM integration so enquiries land somewhere you can follow up, with a dedicated account manager and support.
  • Volume to suit: the site says some trade customers want 10 leads a month and others 100.

The case studies are home improvement firms with high job values: Access4Lofts (68,000-plus leads and a claimed £10.20 of return for every £1 spent), Amazing Lofts, Lofts4Storage, a resin driveway company and a garage door company.

What does Leads For Trades cost and what is the commitment?

Leads For Trades does not publish prices. Its site says a starting advertising budget is typically £800 to £1,500 a month, that costs vary by trade and goal, and that it does not sell leads at a fixed price each. The agency's management fee is quoted on a free 30-minute discovery call. The site does not mention a long-term contract, and terms are agreed on the call.

In our view the thing to work out before that call is the maths. If your ad spend is £1,000 a month and the fee is on top, you need the leads to turn into enough jobs to cover both. That is realistic for a loft conversion or a resin drive; it is much harder for a £150 call-out. The case studies are all high-ticket for a reason.

What do customers say about Leads For Trades?

Leads For Trades shows named testimonials on its site, with clients describing an immediate rise in leads after trying other companies with less success, and detailed case studies with lead counts and revenue claims. These are the agency's own figures and presented as such.

We could not find a Trustpilot page for leadsfortrades.co.uk in October 2026, and Google and Facebook review counts were not retrievable from public pages. So there is no independent score to report. That is common for a specialist agency, but it means you should ask for two or three client references in your own trade and ring them.

Who does Leads For Trades suit?

Leads For Trades suits an established home improvement business with a sales process that can handle a steady stream of enquiries: someone to call leads back quickly, quote, and close. Its site says as much, that it is for firms with a monthly marketing budget, a website and a social media presence. For lofts, windows, conservatories, resin, garage doors and similar, paid ads can work well, and the agency's track record is in exactly those trades.

It suits a sole trader doing smaller jobs less well. If you cannot spend £800 a month on ads before fees, or you have nobody to answer the phone during the day, paid leads go to waste, and the better first step is making the free enquiries from Google more frequent.

Where Growth Bull fits instead

Growth Bull works on the enquiries you do not pay for. Growth Bull's Review Builder connects to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent, HubSpot or Pipedrive and sends one text and one email asking for a Google review after every paid invoice. Reviews are one of the main things Google uses to decide who appears in the map pack (the box of three businesses with a map at the top of Google), and they are also what a customer reads before ringing. It is £69 a month, with a 7-day free trial and no contract.

Complete Growth at £129 a month adds Rank Map, which scans a grid of points around your town and names who holds number one for your trade. Keyword Tracker follows your search positions week by week, and AI Visibility asks ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI who they recommend in your town and shows whether you are named.

Growth Bull does not run ads and makes no promise about lead numbers. If you have the budget and the sales process, a paid-ads agency adds volume that organic work cannot, and plenty of firms would sensibly run both: the agency for the paid enquiries, the tool for the reviews that help close them.

Verdict

In our view, Leads For Trades is a credible specialist for high-ticket home improvement firms that are ready for paid lead generation, with real case studies in the right trades. The gaps are the absence of published pricing and of any independent review score, so go in with your numbers worked out and ask for references.

If you are earlier than that, or your jobs are smaller, start with the free enquiries. Growth Bull's Review Builder is £69 a month with a 7-day free trial at growthbull.io/signup, or book a call with Tom.

Questions people ask

How much does Leads For Trades cost?

Leads For Trades does not publish a price list. Its site says starting ad budgets are typically £800 to £1,500 a month, varying by trade and goals, and that it does not sell leads at a fixed price each. The management fee on top of the ad spend is quoted on a free 30-minute discovery call (checked October 2026).

What does Leads For Trades actually do?

It runs paid advertising on Facebook, Instagram and Google for trade and home improvement companies, with campaigns built on your own pages so the leads are exclusive to you. The site mentions CRM integration, a dedicated account manager and support, and says some clients want 10 leads a month and others 100.

Who is Alex Jenkins?

Alex Jenkins is the founder of Leads For Trades. His site describes him as a Facebook Marketing Partner and paid advertising specialist who previously ran a tiling business. The trading company is Alexander James Enterprises Ltd, company number 12816891, incorporated on 17 August 2020 and registered in London.

Is Leads For Trades legitimate?

Alexander James Enterprises Ltd is an active company registered for management consultancy and advertising agency activities, and the site carries named case studies such as Access4Lofts and Eastern Garage Doors. We could not find a Trustpilot page or retrieve Google review counts, so judge it on the call and ask for client references.

Does Leads For Trades do SEO or Google reviews?

Its site is about paid lead generation on social media and Google Ads rather than reviews or organic rankings. If you want more Google reviews and to track your map position without spending on ads, that is what Growth Bull does, and the two can run alongside each other.

What is a cheaper alternative to Leads For Trades?

If you cannot yet justify £800 or more a month on ads, Growth Bull's Review Builder is £69 a month with a 7-day free trial and no contract. It asks every customer for a Google review after their invoice is paid, which lifts the free enquiries from Google. Complete Growth at £129 a month adds map, keyword and AI visibility tracking.
