Stone Systems is Kai Stone's done-for-you website and follow-up package for contractors. For $297 a month, with no contract, you get a 10 to 20 page website, automated text follow-up, missed-call text-back, a Google review funnel and basic on-site SEO, built in seven to ten days. On Trustpilot it holds a 4.1 score from 143 reviews.
If you are a contractor who searched for "Stoke Marketing Kai Stone", this is the company you were looking for. There is no business called Stoke Marketing connected to Kai Stone that we could find in public sources, so this review covers Stone Systems, the company he actually runs.
Written by Tom Riley, founder of Growth Bull. Growth Bull is a different kind of product (software you run yourself, not a website built for you), so we have tried to be fair: where Stone Systems is the better choice, we say so. Facts and prices checked October 1, 2026.

Who are Stone Systems and what do they sell?
Stone Systems is a brand of MVH Management Consultancy LLC, founded by Kai Stone, a surfer from Hawaii who started out building simple websites and follow-up systems for local builders. The company's own line is blunt: marketing is not rocket science, they give you the tools, you have to commit to using them.
The product is one bundle. The pricing page lists a single plan, Contractor Advanced, at $297 a month, billed monthly or annually. It includes:
- A functional website of 10 to 20 pages, built from an onboarding form and launched in 7 to 10 days, which is the main thing most customers are paying for.
- Automated lead follow-up by text, so an enquiry that comes through the site gets a reply even when you are up a ladder.
- Missed-call text-back, which sends a text to anyone whose call you did not answer.
- A "5-Star Magic Review Funnel", their name for a page and message flow that asks customers for a Google review.
- One-click marketing campaign templates and on-site SEO, meaning the pages are set up with the right titles and headings for your city and trade.
Google Business Profile optimization, advanced SEO and Google Ads management are listed as add-ons. Their prices are not published; you get them on a call.
The company says it serves contractors across more than 20 trades, from landscapers and plumbers to roofers, HVAC companies and painters.
What does Stone Systems cost and what is the commitment?
Stone Systems costs $297 a month and there is no contract. The homepage says it plainly: if it is affordable and good, why would they need a contract. Billing is monthly or annual.
What is not published matters as much. There is no setup fee shown, no price for any add-on, and no stated cancellation process. A third-party comparison from a countertop-industry blog raises questions worth asking on the demo call: who owns the website and domain if you leave, who owns the tracking phone number, and what happens to your lead history when you cancel. Stone Systems' own pages do not answer those, so ask.
In our view that is the real cost to weigh. $297 a month is cheap for a built-for-you website with automation, well under the $1,500 to $5,000 retainers that agencies charge contractors for similar work. Where it gets expensive is if leaving means starting your web presence again.
What do customers say about Stone Systems?
Stone Systems has 143 reviews on Trustpilot and a TrustScore of 4.1 out of 5. The split is unusual: 75 percent five-star, 23 percent one-star, and almost nothing in between.
The five-star reviews praise onboarding, the people who build the site and the value against what they paid before. The one-star reviews mostly describe the same problem from the other side: communication and fixes after signup. One one-star reviewer summed it up as "They do not do what they say they will do" (Grant Embree, Trustpilot, September 2026).
Stone Systems' own site shows more than 20 testimonials marked as five-star from Google, Facebook and Trustpilot, but we could not retrieve its Google or Facebook review counts from public pages, so those are not published here.
Read the one-star reviews before you buy, and ask who your contact will be after launch.
Who does Stone Systems suit?
Stone Systems suits a contractor with no website, or a bad one, who wants a presentable site, text follow-up and a review funnel without learning any of it. At $297 a month it undercuts most agency retainers, and no contract lowers the risk of trying it.
It is a weaker fit if you already have a website you like, because you would be paying $297 a month largely for a site you do not need. It is also a weaker fit if you want to measure anything: there is no rank tracking in the bundle, so you will not know whether the review funnel is moving you up the map.
Where Growth Bull fits instead
Growth Bull does not build websites. It does the part of Stone Systems' bundle that moves a local business up Google, and it does it from the paperwork you already send.
Growth Bull's Review Builder connects to QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, FreeAgent, HubSpot or Pipedrive and sends one text and one email asking for a Google review after every paid invoice. No funnel page to set up, no list to upload, no remembering to ask. It costs $89 a month, there is a 7-day free trial and no contract.
Complete Growth, at $169 a month, adds the measuring tools an agency would normally do by hand. Rank Map scans a grid of points around your city and names who holds number one for your trade, so you can see whether the reviews are moving you up the map pack (the box of three businesses with a map at the top of Google). Keyword Tracker follows your search positions week by week. AI Visibility asks ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI who they recommend in your city and shows whether you are named.
There is nothing to build and nothing to own or lose if you leave: your website stays yours because we never touch it.
What Growth Bull will not do is answer your missed calls, write your pages or run your ads. If you need those, Stone Systems, or a full-service agency, is the right kind of purchase, and the two can run side by side: the website package for the site, the tool for the reviews and the proof.
Verdict
In our view, Stone Systems is a reasonable buy for a contractor who needs a website and follow-up built for them, at a price that is hard to argue with, provided you go in with eyes open about support after launch and ask the ownership questions first.
If you already have a decent website, it solves a problem you do not have. The faster win is getting a review from every customer who pays you and watching the map. That is what Growth Bull is for, from $89 a month, and you can try it free for seven days at growthbull.io/signup or book a call with Tom.
Questions people ask
How much does Stone Systems cost?
Stone Systems lists one plan, Contractor Advanced, at $297 a month on its pricing page, billed monthly or annually. It includes a 10 to 20 page website, automated lead follow-up, missed-call text-back, a review funnel, campaign templates and on-site SEO. Google Ads, advanced SEO and Google Business Profile work are add-ons with no published price (checked October 2026).
Is Stone Systems a contract?
No. The Stone Systems homepage says there are no contracts and that you stay if you are happy. The pricing page offers monthly or annual billing. We could not find a published cancellation process, and a few Trustpilot reviews describe slow responses when cancelling, so ask how cancellation works before you sign up.
Is Stone Systems legitimate?
Stone Systems is a real business, a brand of MVH Management Consultancy LLC, founded by Kai Stone. On Trustpilot it has 143 reviews and a 4.1 score, with 75 percent five-star and 23 percent one-star. Praise centers on onboarding and website quality; complaints center on communication after signup.
Is Stone Systems Kai Stone's company?
Yes. Kai Stone founded Stone Systems and fronts its marketing on Instagram and YouTube. He is from Hawaii. We could not find a company called Stoke Marketing connected to him; if you were searching for that name, Stone Systems is almost certainly the business you mean.
Who owns the website if I leave Stone Systems?
Stone Systems' public pages do not say who owns the website, the domain or the tracking phone number when you cancel, or what happens to your lead history. Those are the questions to ask on the demo call, because a $297 a month website you cannot take with you is a very different purchase from one you can.
What is the simplest alternative to Stone Systems?
If you only need reviews, map rankings and search visibility rather than a new website, Growth Bull's Review Builder is $89 a month, sends a review request after every paid invoice, and has a 7-day free trial with no contract. It does not build websites, so keep your current site.
