NiceJob and Growth Bull are the two tools that most closely do the same core job: they ask your customers for a Google review automatically, the moment the work is done, so you don't have to remember. Growth Bull is an all-in-one business growth suite for local businesses: its flagship Review Builder asks after every paid invoice, and Complete Growth then shows what those reviews do on Google Maps, in Google search and in AI answers. NiceJob is a strong review tool for businesses that run jobs through Jobber, Housecall Pro or ServiceTitan, with referrals and repeat-booking reminders on top.
That's the real difference. NiceJob collects reviews. Growth Bull collects reviews and then shows you the growth they create, all in one hub.
If you're weighing up other review tools too, our guide to the best review automation tools covers the wider field, and we've also compared Growth Bull vs GatherUp for reviews and feedback.

What is Growth Bull?
Growth Bull is an all-in-one business growth suite built specifically for local businesses, such as contractors, home service companies, salons, clinics and other service businesses. Its flagship tool, Review Builder, gets real Google reviews automatically after every paid invoice, and the rest of the suite tracks how that growth shows up on Google Maps, in Google search and in AI answers.
The suite, in order:
- Review Builder, Growth Bull's flagship review automation tool, $89 a month, sends one text and one email with your Google review link after every paid invoice.
- Rank Map, $39, shows where you appear in the Google Maps map pack around your area.
- Keyword Tracker, from $22, checks your Google rankings every morning from your own town or nationwide, on desktop or mobile, with every result kept forever.
- AI Visibility, $43, is commercial AI visibility tracking across ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI.
- Social Posting with AI (opening soon, included free with Complete Growth) writes and schedules posts for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and your Google Business Profile, and turns new five-star reviews into thank-you posts automatically.
Complete Growth, the all-in-one plan, gives you every tool for $169 a month. Growth Bull is also a white label platform, so agencies and freelancers can run every tool for every client under their own brand.
It's built for local businesses such as contractors and home service companies (plumbers, electricians, roofers, HVAC, builders, landscapers, cleaners), plus salons, barbers, dentists, clinics, accountants, attorneys, real estate agents, mechanics and cafes, and the agencies that serve them. National and multi-location brands are a fit too.
What is NiceJob?
NiceJob is a review automation tool built for home service and trade businesses, priced in US dollars.
It plugs into the software you already use to run jobs. When a job is marked done, or an invoice is created, NiceJob sends your customer a review request by text and email. Its Starter plan also includes website review widgets, auto-sharing of reviews to social media, a team leaderboard and a small microsite. Its Pro plan adds referrals, repeat-customer reminders, email broadcasts, AI review replies, NPS surveys (a quick "how likely are you to recommend us" score) and competitor insights.
It scores 4.9 on Capterra from 203 reviews (third-party figure). The common complaints there are limited customization and basic reporting.
What is review automation, and why does it matter?
Review automation means software sends the "would you leave us a review?" message for you, at the right moment, every single time.
Most business owners know reviews matter. The problem is remembering to ask. You finish a boiler service, a haircut or a check-up, you're already thinking about the next customer, and the moment passes. A week later the customer has forgotten how pleased they were.
Both NiceJob and Growth Bull fix this by linking to the software where your jobs or invoices live. The job closes, the request goes out, and you get on with your day.
So why do Google reviews matter so much? Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and prominence. Prominence is how well known and trusted your business looks, and Google lists reviews among the things that feed into it. More genuine reviews, coming in steadily, is one of the few ranking levers a busy owner can actually pull.
Have you ever lost a job to a competitor simply because they had 80 reviews and you had 12?
That's why Review Builder is Growth Bull's big swing. Rank trackers and reporting tools tell you where you stand. Review Builder actually changes it, and you can watch it happen on your own Google profile.
How do NiceJob and Growth Bull send review requests?
Growth Bull's Review Builder sends one text and one email after a paid invoice, plus a single reminder only if nobody clicked, while NiceJob sends up to 3 emails and 1 text per customer.
Growth Bull's Review Builder sends one text and one email under your business name, two hours after the job, inside sending hours. If nobody clicks, it sends one reminder three days later, then stops. Anyone who has already left you a review is never asked again, and every message has a stop link. You get 300 texts a month included, plus email, and you can change the wording. You can also run a win-back campaign to past customers, a few a day, and every Friday a text tells you how many reviews you won.
It's persistent enough to work and polite enough that customers never feel pestered.
And it's the part owners love most, because they can see it working. New Google reviews arrive every week, the Friday text counts them up, and that's the one result every customer understands. Reviews are how customers choose who to call, so more reviews means more calls.
NiceJob uses a fixed sequence. A customer can get up to three emails and one text, and NiceJob stops as soon as it detects a review. Repeat customers get a six-month pause. The cadence can't be customized, which some users mention as a downside.
What is review gating, and do these tools do it?
Review gating means asking customers how happy they are first, then only sending the happy ones to Google, and Google's rules say you mustn't do it.
Google's review policy prohibits selectively soliciting positive reviews. In plain English: you can ask everyone, but you can't filter out the unhappy ones before they reach your Google listing.
Review Builder gives every customer the same Google link with no star filter in front of it. Unhappy customers also get a private feedback link so they can tell you first if something went wrong, but it's never a gate.
NiceJob's pricing page doesn't say anything about filtering, so we won't make a claim either way. Whatever tool you use, check that every customer is shown the Google link.
Which tool connects to the software you already use?
Growth Bull connects to the accounting and CRM tools where invoices get paid, while NiceJob connects to field-service job software.
This is probably the most important section for deciding, because the trigger is what makes automation work. If your tool can't see when a job is finished, you're back to typing customers in by hand.
| Software | Growth Bull | NiceJob |
|---|---|---|
| Xero | Yes, after a paid invoice | Yes, when an invoice is created |
| QuickBooks | Yes | Yes (QuickBooks Online) |
| Sage | Yes | Not listed |
| FreeAgent | Yes | Not listed |
| HubSpot, Pipedrive | Yes | Not stated publicly |
| Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan | Not a focus | Yes |
| FreshBooks, Square, Stripe, Zapier | Not listed | Yes |
| Add customers by hand or paste a list | Yes, about 10 seconds each | Not stated publicly |
If your books live in Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or FreeAgent, or your sales pipeline lives in HubSpot or Pipedrive, Growth Bull triggers straight from there. That covers contractors, salons, clinics, accountants and most service businesses.
There's a useful difference with Xero too. NiceJob triggers when the invoice is created; Review Builder waits for it to be paid. Asking for a review after someone has paid feels more natural than asking while the bill is still sitting in their inbox.
If your business runs on Jobber, Housecall Pro or ServiceTitan, NiceJob's connections there are a genuine strength.
Can you see whether reviews are helping your rankings?
Growth Bull can, because Complete Growth includes a map rank grid, daily keyword tracking and commercial AI visibility tracking; NiceJob doesn't track rankings at all.
A few quick definitions:
- The map pack is the box of three businesses with a map at the top of Google when someone searches for something like "electrician near me".
- A rank grid (or geo-grid) checks your map position from lots of points around your area, because your ranking changes depending on where the searcher is standing.
- Keyword tracking checks where your website appears in Google's normal results for a search you choose, day by day.
- AI visibility means whether AI assistants like ChatGPT name your business when someone asks them for a recommendation.
Growth Bull's Rank Map checks 49 points around your business every week, about six miles across, and names who holds the number one spot wherever you don't. Keyword Tracker checks your Google rankings every morning from your own town or nationwide, on desktop or mobile. AI Visibility asks ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI the buying questions customers actually ask ("Who's the best roofer near me?"), from your own town, and shows whether you're recommended, whether your website is cited, and who is recommended instead.
Growth Bull keeps AI visibility simple and commercial on purpose. It tracks the assistants people actually use and deliberately leaves out lower-volume platforms such as Perplexity and Grok, so the score reflects where customers really ask. There are no vanity counts of every blog or source an AI cited, just three lead-gen questions: were you recommended, was your website cited, and who was recommended instead.
Why does this matter? Because it closes the loop. You see reviews going up and, a few weeks later, whether your map position, rankings and AI mentions are following. With NiceJob you'd need separate tools for that, such as one from our list of the best local rank tracking tools. Agencies wanting very large audit grids can also compare Growth Bull vs Local Falcon for map rank tracking.
How much do NiceJob and Growth Bull cost?
Growth Bull's Review Builder costs $89 a month and Complete Growth costs $169, while NiceJob costs around $75 a month for Starter and around $125 for Pro (checked October 2026).
| Plan | Price per month | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Growth Bull Review Builder | $89 | Text and email review requests after every paid invoice, 300 texts included |

| NiceJob Starter | $75/mo | Text and email review requests, widgets, social sharing, leaderboard, microsite |

| NiceJob Sites add-on | $99/mo + $199 setup | A website |
Prices per month, checked October 2026. NiceJob's multi-location pricing means talking to sales.
This is where Complete Growth outshines single-purpose tools. No competitor at this price combines automated review requests, a map rank grid, daily keyword tracking and commercial AI visibility tracking in one hub. Bought separately, the tools cost $220, so the plan saves $51 a month.
Both tools are contract-free and you can cancel any time. Growth Bull has a 7-day free trial on every plan; NiceJob offers 14 days with no card.
Does either suit agencies?
Growth Bull is also a white label platform, while NiceJob offers reseller partnerships rather than white label.
Agencies and freelancers run every Growth Bull tool for every client under their own brand, with white label reports in their logo and colors sent automatically. Agency 5 is $289 a month and Agency 10 is $549 a month, with up to 10 team logins.
For agencies and freelancers, Review Builder is also a retention tool. Clients who watch their reviews and rankings climb under your agency's name stay longer, which helps reduce churn and raise client lifetime value. See Growth Bull vs Grade.us for agencies reselling reviews for another agency-focused option.
Where NiceJob is better
If your business runs on field-service software and you want referral tools, NiceJob goes deeper.
- Field-service connections. NiceJob plugs straight into Jobber, Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan and triggers when the job is done.
- Referrals and repeat bookings. NiceJob Pro sends repeat-customer reminders and runs a referral program.
- Showing off your reviews today. NiceJob includes website review widgets and auto-shares reviews to social media now; Growth Bull's Social Posting with AI, which will turn new five-star reviews into thank-you posts, is still opening soon.
Where Growth Bull is better
Growth Bull is better for local businesses that want their reviews and their growth in one place.
- Review Builder asks after payment. Growth Bull's flagship review automation tool sends requests once the invoice is paid, so customers are asked once the job is settled.
- Results owners can see. New Google reviews every week, a Friday text with your total, and more reviews means more calls.
- Win-back and private feedback. Ask past customers for reviews a few a day, and let unhappy customers tell you first through a private link that's never a gate.
- Accounting and CRM triggers. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent, HubSpot and Pipedrive are all supported, so most service businesses can automate from the software they already use.
- Texts included. 300 texts a month plus email, all inside the $89 price.
- Named competitors on the map. Rank Map shows where you're in the top three and names who holds number one wherever you don't.
- Daily keyword tracking and commercial AI visibility tracking. See your Google rankings every morning and whether ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI recommend you.
- Everything in one hub for one price. Complete Growth covers reviews, map grid, 50 keywords and AI visibility for $169.
- White label for agencies. Run the whole suite for clients under your own brand, and keep clients longer because they can see the results.
Which should you choose?
It mostly comes down to where your jobs live and whether you want rankings as well as reviews.
If you're a one-truck roofer who invoices in FreeAgent or Sage, Growth Bull is the natural fit. Your paid invoices trigger review requests on their own, and Complete Growth shows whether you're climbing in the map pack across your patch.
If you run a salon, clinic or accounting practice that invoices through Xero or QuickBooks, Review Builder works just the same, and AI Visibility tells you whether AI assistants recommend you when someone asks for the best in town.
If you run jobs on Jobber, Housecall Pro or ServiceTitan and want referrals and service reminders, NiceJob is the specialist choice. If you also want map, keyword and AI tracking, Growth Bull is worth a trial alongside.
If you run a busy service company or a multi-location brand, Review Builder turns every paid invoice into a review request at volume, and AI Visibility shows what AI assistants say about your brand. Book a call with Tom to set it up.
If you want reviews and rankings without paying for several separate tools, Complete Growth at $169 a month covers it all. Compare that with stitching together a review tool and a tracker from our best keyword rank tracking tools list.
If you mainly need text-first messaging and payments, read our comparison of Growth Bull vs Podium.

Questions people ask
Which is cheaper, NiceJob or Growth Bull?
Growth Bull's Review Builder costs $89 a month, while NiceJob Starter costs around $75 a month (checked October 2026) and Pro around $125. Growth Bull's Complete Growth plan, at $169 a month, adds a map rank grid, daily keyword tracking and commercial AI visibility tracking on top of reviews.
Does NiceJob work with Xero?
Yes, NiceJob connects to Xero, but it triggers on an invoice being created rather than paid. Growth Bull's Review Builder connects to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and FreeAgent and sends its request after a paid invoice, so customers are asked once the job is settled rather than while the bill is still outstanding.
Do either of these tools use review gating?
Growth Bull does not use review gating: Review Builder gives every customer the same Google review link, with no star filter first. Unhappy customers also get a private feedback link, but it never blocks them from Google. Google's review policy says businesses must not selectively ask only happy customers, so check any tool's settings.
Does NiceJob track Google Maps rankings?
No, NiceJob does not offer a map rank grid, keyword tracking or AI visibility tracking. It focuses on reviews, referrals and repeat bookings. Growth Bull's Rank Map checks 49 points around your business every week and names who holds number one, so you can see new reviews lifting you in the map pack.
Is NiceJob good for businesses on Jobber or ServiceTitan?
Yes. NiceJob connects to Jobber, Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan, so for a business running jobs through field-service software it is a strong specialist choice. Growth Bull's edges are asking after a paid invoice, texts included in the price, and map, keyword and AI visibility tracking in one hub.
