Digitool review, the Google Ads lead generation service for trades compared with Growth Bull, Growth Bull blog

Digitool is a lead generation agency in Mansfield that runs Google Ads for trades and home services businesses. Unusually, it publishes its price: £245 a month plus VAT for the management, with a recommended minimum of £500 a month paid directly to Google for the ads, a three-month minimum term and a money-back guarantee on the fee if you do not win a job in the first 30 days. On Trustpilot it has 25 reviews at 4.7.

Growth Bull is a different approach: £69 a month of software that gets Google reviews from every paid invoice and tracks your rankings, so the enquiries that come free from Google grow instead of the ones you pay for. This review is for the plumber, roofer or cleaner weighing paid leads against organic growth.

The tick marks the stronger option on that row. Prices per month, checked 1 October 2026.

Who are Digitool and what do they sell?

Digitool is the trading name of Daisy Leaf Ltd (company number 11184040), incorporated on 2 February 2018, registered at Ransom Hall South, Ransom Wood Business Park in Mansfield and active. The founder is Daisy Foster, listed as managing director on Crunchbase and LinkedIn, whose father ran a carpet cleaning business; the current about page describes a five-person team led by Chris, with 25 years in sales, and says Digitool is part of the TwoD Group. Its Trustpilot profile gives a Brighton address, so there is more than one office in its history.

What a tradesperson gets is managed paid search:

  • Google Ads campaigns built around your service and area, with enquiries by phone call and quote form that are exclusive to you rather than shared.
  • A CRM on desktop and mobile with call tracking and recording, job stages and performance reporting.
  • Optional add-ons: Lead Engage at £29 a month and Lead Engage Plus at £49 a month for following up enquiries, a lead site at £1 a month with an active plan, and separately priced trade websites.

Its case studies are home services firms with volume: 219 leads in a month for a cleaning company, 731 in seven months for another, and 154 enquiries at £10.77 each for a pest control business. Those are Digitool's figures, presented as such.

What does Digitool cost and what is the commitment?

The management fee is £245 a month plus VAT. The ad spend is separate, paid to Google, and Digitool recommends at least £500 a month for a 12-mile radius and one service, more for a wider area or more services. So the realistic starting figure is about £750 a month plus VAT on the fee. The minimum term is three months, after which the agreement rolls on 30 days' notice.

The guarantee is specific: win a job in your first 30 days or your money back, covering the Digitool fee but not the ad spend, with the service closing if claimed. In our view that is about as fair as a paid-leads promise gets, and the published price list puts Digitool ahead of most agencies in this market. The question is simply whether £750 a month of leads turns into enough jobs for your trade; for emergency plumbing, drainage, cleaning and pest control the economics are usually there, for a £120 call-out trade they are tighter.

What do customers say about Digitool?

Digitool has 25 reviews on Trustpilot with a TrustScore of 4.7: 96 percent five-star and 4 percent one-star. A recent one reads "Quality leads coming in every week. We're converting a lot of them" (Dale Langdown, Trustpilot, January 2026). Its site also shows a NiceJob rating of 5.0 from 124 reviews.

Trustpilot notes that the company has not recently invited reviews, so the sample is small and self-selected. Reviewers praise the team's transparency and the quality of the leads. We could not retrieve Google or Facebook review counts from public pages, so they are not published here.

Who does Digitool suit?

Digitool suits a trades or home services business that wants enquiries this month from people searching for its service, can fund the fee and the ad spend, and has someone to answer the phone and quote. Its case studies are in cleaning, pest control and the high-volume home services, and a published price with a 30-day guarantee makes it one of the easier agencies to test.

It suits a sole trader with a full diary less well, because paid leads you cannot take are wasted, and it suits a trade with low job values less well still, because the ad spend has to be earned back job by job. Nothing in the service builds your Google reviews or your organic position, so the enquiries stop when the ads stop.

Where Growth Bull fits instead

Growth Bull works on the enquiries you do not pay for. Growth Bull's Review Builder connects to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent, HubSpot or Pipedrive and sends one text and one email asking for a Google review after every paid invoice. Reviews are one of the main things Google uses to decide who appears in the map pack (the box of three businesses with a map at the top of Google), and they are what a homeowner reads before ringing whichever ad or listing they clicked. It is £69 a month, with a 7-day free trial and no contract.

Complete Growth at £129 a month adds Rank Map, which scans a grid of points around your town and names who holds number one for your trade; Keyword Tracker, which follows your search positions week by week; and AI Visibility, which asks ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI who they recommend in your town and shows whether you are named.

Growth Bull does not run ads and makes no promise about lead numbers. If you have the budget and the phone cover, a paid-search agency adds volume organic work cannot, and plenty of firms would sensibly run both: Digitool for the paid enquiries, the tool for the reviews that convert them.

Verdict

In our view, Digitool is one of the more honest paid-leads options for UK trades: the price is on the website, the term is short, the guarantee is real and the reviews, though few, are good. Go in with the ad budget worked out and someone on the phone.

If you are earlier than that, start with the free enquiries. Growth Bull's Review Builder is £69 a month with a 7-day free trial at growthbull.io/signup, or book a call with Tom.

Questions people ask

How much does Digitool cost?

Digitool publishes its prices, which is rare for a lead generation agency. The management fee is £245 a month plus VAT. Optional add-ons are Lead Engage at £29 a month and Lead Engage Plus at £49 a month. On top of the fee you pay your Google Ads spend directly, with Digitool recommending a minimum of £500 a month for a 12-mile radius and one service. The minimum term is three months, after which it rolls monthly (checked October 2026).

What is the Digitool guarantee?

Digitool's site says: win a job in your first 30 days or your money back. The guarantee covers the Digitool management fee only, not the Google Ads spend, and the service closes if you claim it. It is a clear promise, and worth reading in full on the lead generation page before you sign.

Is Digitool worth it?

For a trade that can fund about £750 a month between fee and ads and can answer the phone during the day, the model is sound: exclusive enquiries from people searching for your service, tracked call by call. Its 25 Trustpilot reviews are 96 percent five-star at 4.7, and its site shows a NiceJob rating of 5.0 from 124 reviews. The sample is small, so ask for references in your trade. For a sole trader doing small jobs, the ad spend is the hard part.

Who runs Digitool?

Digitool is the trading name of Daisy Leaf Ltd, company number 11184040, incorporated on 2 February 2018 and registered at Ransom Wood Business Park in Mansfield. It was founded by Daisy Foster, who is listed as managing director on Crunchbase and LinkedIn; the about page describes a five-person team led by Chris and says the company is part of the TwoD Group.

Does Digitool do SEO or Google reviews?

Digitool's service is paid search lead generation with a CRM, call tracking and optional websites. It does not describe review requests or organic rank tracking. If you want more Google reviews and to see your map position without spending on ads, that is what Growth Bull does, and the two can run alongside each other.

What is a cheaper alternative to Digitool?

If you cannot yet justify £500 a month on ads plus the fee, Growth Bull's Review Builder is £69 a month with a 7-day free trial and no contract. It asks every customer for a Google review after their invoice is paid, which lifts the free enquiries from Google. Complete Growth at £129 a month adds map, keyword and AI visibility tracking.
